A. The first portal appeared in 1697 because of a skyquake. Our people were impressed by the beauty of that crack. However, it was still scary, so nobody agreed to go through the portal. The second crack appeared two years later, after another natural disaster, so nature itself was opening the portals.

B. Our first travellers went on their expedition in 1699 and returned a week later. They were scared of the strange people in another world, but they found some very valuable materials there: paper, water and others. We couldn't produce them in our world, so we needed portals to move those materials here. But old portals began to close, and we had to learn to predict the opening of new ones.

C. Natural disasters became rare, and new cracks began to appear in random places. We noticed that a month before the opening mountains go up from the bottom of the ocean and the moon becomes orange. A day before the opening the area for the future crack becomes red and starts burning.

D. We invented a machine for extracting valuable materials from another world. But the cracks became smaller each time. Everyone, except for the portal engineers, was forbidden to travel through the cracks.

E. Today our modern engineers have learned to open the portals with the help of the moon power. Random cracks still appear sometimes when the weather's bad. Our engineers control the damage after those random openings. We need to investigate all of the random portals in case someone from another world tries to cross the border.
