Well, I spent my last holiday in Hainan. I went there with my brother, my mum and some of our friends. We stayed in Hainan Island and had a really good time there. Sandy beaches, clear air and seawater made us feel calm and relaxed. We breathed fresh air, enjoyed a wonderful variety of Chinese cuisine, relaxed in hot springs and sunbathed on the Hainan sand beaches. My mum and I also had some spa procedures to gain health and energy for the whole year.

Tim

Last year I spent my vacation in the Swiss Alps. I travelled there with some friends of mine. We got up early in the morning, had a tasty breakfast in one of the local cafes and went up to the ski slopes. Some of my friends chose the most extreme tracks but I prefered to ski on the less dangerous ones. Anyway, it was a really exciting experience for me!

After skiing, we went to a cosy place to have lunch and enjoy Swiss delicacies: cheese, ham and chocolate. Oh, it was so tasty! When the lunch was over, we had some rest or took a train to go to the towns nearby. Glorious mountain views and comfortable trains made our trips unforgettable.

Daniel

Last year, I went to Zanzibar with my family and best friend Luis. This paradise belongs to Tanzania and is surrounded by the warm Indian Ocean. Zanzibar is known for endless beaches with white sand and turquoise water.

We stayed at a pretty cheap hotel which was not far from the seashore. There was a place for surfing, a beach area and incredible sunsets. They also offered jungle walks, island tours and diving. Luis and I took some diving lessons and had a chance to see the beautiful diversity of the underwater world. It was amazing! The fishes of all shapes and colours impressed us greatly. My parents weren't so enthusiastic and prefered peaceful relaxation on the beach.

My last holiday was a six-day trip to São Paulo. I know São Paulo well because I lived there when I was a volunteer seven years ago. Instead of going to a hotel, I stayed with one of my old friends. It was so much fun. We talked, sunbathed and walked a lot. I also wanted to visit all the places where I used to live, so I visited Rua Normandia. It had changed a lot. I also went to the supermarket near my old house. They still sold my favourite Brazilian sweets there. I bought some.

We visited some touristic places too. We went to Pinacoteca and enjoyed the wonderful masterpieces of modern art. Next day we decided to go to Ibirapuera Park. Nature is amazing up there. Fresh air and a long walk made us really hungry. So we went to the famous Municipal Market and bought some tasty Brazilian food there.
