A) There are over 20 million people in Canada. About 45% of them are the British, about 30% of them are the French, over 20% of them are continental Europeans and about 3% of them are Eskimos or Indians. Eskimos live mostly on the Arctic regions and Indians live in villages or small towns in the vast lands.

B) Edinburgh is the capital of Scotland and one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. It lies on seven hills and goes down those hills to the sea. The highest hill is three hundred metres above the sea. From the street in the centre of the city you can see ships coming to Edinburgh from different countries of the world.
C) Australia is situated south-east of Asia between the Pacific and Indian oceans. It is 2,400 miles from east to west and nearly 2,000 miles from north to south. Australia has a territory of almost 3 million square miles, nearly as large as the United States.
D) The weather in England changes often. The winds in Great Britain blow from the Atlantic Ocean. The spring is wet and windy. In spring the bright sun shines, but sometimes it rains. People take umbrellas with them. They wear raincoats and hats.
E) Westminster is the most important part of London. There is a very big clock there. People call it Big Ben. But Big Ben is the bell. Westminster Abbey is a very beautiful church. It's over 900 years old. In West End we can see shops, hotels, theatres and museums. The biggest museum in London is the British Museum. The streets are wide. There are many parks, gardens and squares in the West End.
