  1. Read two paragraphs from the project and choose the correct linking devices

One problem associated with space exploration is cosmic radiation that is very strong in space without the atmosphere and magnetic field of Earth. Long-term exposure to radiation can cause incurable diseases or even be deadly to humans. [In fact|Despite|Since], the best solution to this problem is to create a special coating on spacecraft and spacesuits [in spite of|so as|whereas] to protect astronauts from radiation.

[Moreover|All in all|Therefore], I am fully convinced that it is highly important for teenagers to learn about space exploration as well as technological innovation because one day it may become an indispensable part of our lives.

[ ], space exploration has been widely discussed recently. While doing a project on how teenagers learn about space exploration nowadays, I have found the results of relevant opinion polls. My aim is to analyse and comment on them.

According to the data presented in the table, modern teenagers have a fairly wide range of sources of information from which they can learn about space exploration. [ ], the majority of teenagers questioned (32%) prefer to find out about the development of science and technology from scientific YouTube channels. Around a fifth of the teenagers (23%) research NASA websites to know more about science and technology. [ ], only 6% of the respondents opt for consulting encyclopedias.

Studying the table thoroughly one can see that the percentage of the respondents who prefer reading scientific journals is slightly higher than the proportion of those who take astronomy classes (20% and 19% respectively). [ ] the numbers are almost identical because both activities involve studying new information in a rather traditional way (by having classes or reading).
