The best way to get from Domodedovo airport to the centre of the city is to go by the Aeroexpress Train. It will arrive at Paveletskaya station of the Moscow Metro.

You can go by Moscow Metro. It's one stop on the red line to Park Kultury station. Then, change to the brown line and get off at Belorusskaya station.

To go to the north of Russia you need to use Leningradsky Train Station. Trains to Murmansk, Saint Petersburg and Novgorod depart from this station.
