Imagine that you are preparing a project with your friend. You have found some interesting material for the presentation and you want to read this text to your friend. You have 2 minutes to read the text silently, then be ready to read it out aloud. You will not have more than 2 minutes to read it.
A recent study has shown that being good at what you do takes not only job-specific skills, but also so-called soft skills. Soft skills are abilities related to how a person works. It’s interaction with other people, time management, problem solving, critical and creative thinking. If a worker lacks these there's a small chance that even well-developed hard skills will be enough to be successful at work.
How can one develop soft skills? They aren’t usually learned in a classroom, so some working experience and special training programs can help.
Most employers are attentive to the candidate’s soft skills during the job interview.
Soft skills are very important to get any job done.
