Human Rights and Responsibilities

The Universal Declaration of Human Rights is a document that sets out fundamental human rights to be universally protected and it has been internationally recognized all around the world.

Basic human rights include things which people are morally and legally entitled to do or have, for example, the right to life and liberty, freedom from slavery and torture, freedom of opinion and expression, the right to work and education and many more. These rights are the same for everyone without any discrimination by age, sex, race or nationality.

Undoubtedly, this important document didn't start from scratch. During many centuries there have been many discussions over the issue of protecting liberties and rights of people. Finally, in 1948 the United Nation adopted The Universal Declaration of Human Rights in New York. Since then, every country has realised the importance of following these rules to build a better future for their citizens.
