Gary has been into maths and numbers all his life, but his secret passion was painting. So, Gary, tell us your story.Well, as you said, I've been really into numbers since day one. I suppose I was great at Maths at school, and I went on studying it at business school. I made a great career as an analyst, but one day I started to feel that something's missing. I didn't enjoy my job the way I used to, and I was feeling depressed. But then the idea hit me as I was watching a new exhibition in the gallery. I realised I wanted to be an artist. I used to draw a lot as a child, but the passion seemed to disappear with time. I'd never given the chance to this childhood dream come true.
I rushed to the art store and bought everything I needed. Nonetheless, the moment I saw white canvas in front of me, my inspiration disappeared. I'd been trying to paint something for a week, and I was struck with fear of not succeeding. It took me 3 months in art school to create my first piece of art. But all those efforts were totally worth it. After that, I wasn't afraid to paint anymore. I just kept doing what I love and mastering my skills. Now I know for sure that any dream can come true if you don't give up.
