Gerund or Infinitive
Глаголы, которые требуют после себя формы инфинитива: expect, agree, refuse, promise, deserve, afford, hope, learn, decide, plan, ask, know, remember, explain, understand.

Глаголы, требующие после себя форму герундия: finish, enjoy, suggest, avoid, consider, delay, deny.

Глаголы, которые могут использоваться с инфинитивной формой и с формой герундия: start, bother, prefer, hate.
