My Childhood Memories
What do you remember when you hear "childhood"? As for me, I remember myself as a five-year-old girl. I was the only child in my family, but I wasn't bored. I [ ]to play football alone, but I [ ]to build towers from blankets and chairs. I was used to [ ]time alone, but I wasn't lonely. My teddy bear and dolls used to be my friends before it was weekend time, and my cousins came to visit me. [ ]to play boyish games? Yes, we did, and it was fun! I used [ ]the only girl of all my cousins before little Rosie was born.
Now I remember these games with nostalgia. My cousins were used to a strict upbringing, and thanks to it, they were well-organized guys. I [ ]used to being so focused. It was my cousins who taught me some discipline. And I'm so thankful to them for helping me to form some good habits. It took me time to get used to [ ]up early and coming on time, but now I can wake up effortlessly without using my alarm clock.
But my good cousins were so caring, as well. With them, I felt safe. And I [ ]used to being open to the world and new opportunities, not hiding in my shell. It is what I'm teaching my children now. And you know, they are getting used to it.
