Past Simple — простое прошедшее время, которое употребляется для выражения действий, произошедших в прошлом с указанием времени действия (yesterday, a week/month/year ago, last week/month/year, in 1986, the other day).

Для образования прошедшего времени правильных глаголов, к начальной форме глагола добавляется окончание -ed.

Example:open-opened, finish-finished.

Для образования прошедшего времени неправильных глаголов изменяется начальная форма глагола.

Example:see — saw, come — came.

Отрицательные и вопросительные предложения образуются с помощью did / did not (didn't) и основной формы смыслового глагола.

Example:Did you go to the party? She didn't send a letter yesterday.

I saw (see) Kolin at the party yesterday.
