My family is quite an unusual one. It doesn't have anything to do with what we look like, no. It's about how we [get through|get out|get along |get off]with one another. As far as I know, family time is usually considered to be relaxing and uplifting. However, in my family it's different, and we confront one another a lot.
I'm the most positive person in my family. I like to [try out|try off|try across|try in]new things, just to see whether I can do them or not. However, my parents don't approve of my behaviour. They usually tell me to [slow up|slow at|slow over|slow down]or to [give away|give up|give on|give off]some hobbies. Sometimes, they even speak to me in a loud voice to attract my attention. I'm not offended by their words, so I just continue to do what I like. Although, sometimes, I agree that having too many hobbies leads to having too much stuff in my room. I guess my parents are tired of all the mess I make, but I can't help it!
Melany, my younger sister, is a very naughty girl. She literally can't be calm and nice. For example, she can't keep secrets and always [gives them in|gives them round|gives them away|gives them out].
Also, she can't wait until a person finishes their phrase, so quite often she just [cuts off|cuts on|cuts along|cuts in] and starts talking about herself. I think she'd better have some respect! We all have difficulties in terms of putting up with Melany's character.
My parents try to be strict with us most of the time. They believe that we should be disciplined and well behaved in order to succeed in life. That's the main reason why they might seem a bit gloomy and moody at times, but they really try to do their best. When I or Melany have real problems, they always try to [cheer us down|cheer us up|cheer us through|cheer us away]. And whatever happens, they are always by our side.
