Potatoes came to Europe from South America in 1533, but people didn't want to grow potatoes \(at once / at the beginning / at the moment / at first\). It wasn't easy to make them do it.
King Louis XVI of France thought of \(the / a / an / \-\) plan. He asked the gardener to grow potatoes in his garden and sent the soldiers to \(eat / see / guard / study\) the beds day and night. Soon the peasants took all the potatoes. After it French men began to grow potatoes and French women learnt to cook them.
