Popular Physical Activities Evolution
Since A \(\underline{ }\) people wanted to look nice. They tried different diets, treatments and, of course, physical activities to meet some B \(\underline{ }\) or just to keep fit. What comes to your mind when you hear the phrase be fit or keep fit? Gym? Sports sections? But what about something more old-fashioned?
Do you remember what your mum was doing if she wanted to stay fit? Probably, you still have somewhere on the shelves a C \(\underline{ }\) . Twenty years ago it was hugely popular to do aerobics. A lot of stars of that time recorded videos with some exercises to do at home. Each video lasted about 30 to 40 minutes and D \(\underline{ }\) to the usual training in the gym. Is aerobics still popular nowadays? Not as it was before! But some movements and exercises are still parts of modern training courses.
Are there any followers of aerobics? Sure. You have definitely heard of CrossFit. It is a relatively new sport. It started its movement in the early 2000s. It is a perfect mix of aerobic, bodyweight and weightlifting exercises. In comparison to its predecessor CrossFit is E \(\underline{ }\) more parts of your body. As a result, training is much more intensive and exhausting but it can lead to better and faster results.
What is not so physically active and fast but also requires much effort, endurance and patience at the same time. You got it right! Yoga. Nobody can say that it is a modern invention but only recently it started gaining popularity. Nowadays, almost every gym provides yoga classes.
Originally, yoga is a group of physical, mental and spiritual practices or disciplines that F \(\underline{ }\) to ancient India. So, as you can see, yoga is not only about your body but mostly about your philosophy.
Not only these three activities exist in the modern world but as it is seen everybody can find something to their liking.
