A.Alone time is an opportunity to strengthen your creativity. Without the need to care for or interact with other people, you can ignore outside influences and focus inward. There's a reason a lot of authors or artists want to go to a cabin in the woods or a private studio to work. Being alone with your thoughts gives your brain a chance to wander, which can help you become more creative. Many studies suggest that solitude leads to changes in the brain that help fuel the creative process.
B. Kimchi is the Korean name for preserved vegetables seasoned with spices and seafood. It's an important tradition on the Korean peninsula. Cabbage is harvested, fermented and salted, and chili and seafood are added. There are hundreds of varieties of kimchi, made with different vegetables as the main ingredients. Once fermented, it can be kept for the full year. Because it's a special dish, it is listed by UNESCO as part of North Korea's Intangible Cultural Heritage.
C. Although Christmas isn't a national holiday in Japan, its citizens still find an interesting and delicious way to celebrate. Rather than gathering around the table for a turkey dinner, families head out to their local Kentucky Fried Chicken. The tradition began in 1974, after a wildly successful marketing campaign called "Kentucky for Christmas!". The fast food chain has maintained its popularity, causing some people to order their boxes months in advance or stand in two-hour-long lines to get their food.
D. When you think of the Roman Empire, one man's name springs to mind: Julius Caesar. You can imagine him watching gladiatorial battles in the Colosseum while enjoying a glass of wine or two. Yet, while the Colosseum and Julius Caesar are two icons of Rome, the Emperor never set foot inside the great arena. The Colosseum was finished in 80 AD while Julius Caesar was assassinated almost 125 years before the first games even happened.
E.You probably have a lot of online accounts you no longer use, and they might contain personal information. It is highly important to delete all of them. Don't leave whatever details you may have shared, because they can be discovered by criminals or misused if a dishonest company one day buys and abuses your data. To learn how to delete an account, perform a web search such as "delete an old email account". In this case, nobody will steal your personal information.
F.Many peculiar and unsettling reports of ghostly activity have come out of Newton House in Carmarthenshire. One possible source of all this paranormal activity is the murder of Lady Elinor Cavendish. Lady Elinor was the cousin or sister of the lady of the house in the 1720s. She was forced to marry a man she didn't love. Eventually, she left him to seek refuge with her family at Newton House. But her suitor followed, brought her into the house and strangled her with his own hands.
G.Tenzing-Hillary Airport is one of the most dangerous airports in the world. Originally, it had a name of Lukla Airport, but it was renamed in 1964 to honour the first mountaineers to reach the summit of Mount Everest. Located in Lukla, Nepal, the airport serves thousands of people hoping to "conquer" Mount Everest, as well as trekkers wishing to explore the Everest region. Dangers at this airport include high winds and extreme cloud cover — but these are just a few of the scariest aspects.
